biography

Kirsten is a third culture kid who was born in Iowa, spent her formative years in Ethiopia as a missionary kid and moved to Minnesota as a teenager. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in English because she loved writing and literature and from the Carlson School of Management with a BS in Accounting because she loved analytical challenges. Kirsten lives on the north shore of Lake Superior with her husband and two dogs.
Kirsten is in a season of creativity writing and taking photographs. She also enjoys hiking, camping, piano and cooking for family and friends. In 2023, Kirsten published Teeny! Tiny! Mini Monkey!, a children's book which she also illustrated. She previously published Thy Father's Will, a historial novel based on a true story.
